How to live without Cilia?

I had a severe nasal cauterization of my nasal passage way that
left me without (i believe) much cilia left in the path of the acid
that
was applied throughout my nasal passageway.

Now every irritant in the air (perfume, cooking & chemical odors, ect)
swells
shut my right nasal passage way and causes severe headaches
and then an infection if I cannot get it opened.

Besides irrigation, I have found some relief with Astelin.  It is the
best thing to come along in years for my symptoms.

But I would like to know if there is anything else that can be done
to keep this inflamation down from constant irritants that are almost
impossible to escape from.

Lynn, warm tea helps me with opening my cilia.

Most of my life I have been allergic to fragratants, odors.
They either give me a headache, or irritate my eyes, and runny nose that
I have to keep tissues near by.
Some of the perfumes that people wear have musk in them and make me feel
lightheaded.

I think a nasal gel used "when you go out" would be of value. If you use a
moisturizing gel that is helpful. The gel also acts as a "cover" to dilute
the offending products.

Thank you for your responses.  I will try the nasal gel.  I have some
Breathe Ease Gel and will start using that when I go out into the
elements on a regular basis.

Thanks Again,

seems like a serious ent evaluation is in order--like have a ent md use
aendoscope to look at the nasal passaages ( smaller than a drinking straw
and very flexible--it as if you eye was looking right in your nose--

but sounds like you needd a more detail evaluation like cat scan and
possible surgery to open sinus drainage tracks

putting various solutions into the nasal passages  other than normal saline
can lead to a inflammation of the nasal lining which is not a good
thing--that includes various medicatiojns ( rhinitis mediconosum--look it
up)
