so, I had my surgery yesterday...completely painless! Little bleeding,
so i'm very happy about that.

Day2, when should I start seeing/feeling the results?
- 0 pain, haven't had any oxycoton since 10pm last night and it's
9:12AM.
- pretty much no bleeding
- throat slightly sore because i've been breathing out of my mouth.
- Should I go order the Gossner irrigiator for all my irrigiation
needs?
- Started on antibiotics.

The reason I got the surgery was because i was getting pressure on my
forehead and under my right eyebrow all the time. I'm assuming it's not
instant right? It'll take a while?

I highly recommend Dr. Knapp if you're looking for an ENT in Seattle.
over 3000 surgeries,  worst that every happened to his patient is a bad
nose bleed, but that was fixed quickly.

I'll update tomorrow!

Even though the surgery is called functional endoscopic sinus surgery,
they vary greatly. What was actually done? Which sinuses were worked
on? Did he use the balloon? The extent of your surgery should determine
what your recovery experience is like.
In general, there's swelling, some bleeding and a risk of post op
infection, but no FESS is the same, so you can't over generalize.

I can't remember the what parts he operated on, but I know he didn't
use a ballon. he went to the sinuses closes to my eyes and removed the
bad tissue there and fixed my deviated septum.

If no infection sets in, maybe in a couple of weeks.

But full recovery can take months.  It's not like having your gall
bladder or appendix removed, after which you're fine.  It's the start of
a gradual healing process in which the conditions in your sinuses slowly
return to normal--oxygen gets into the sinuses, drainage improves, etc.

THis is weird, day after surgery, pain wasn't too bad, but now i'm
getting a bad headache. Is this pretty normal? I took some vicodin for
the pain.

Is there a video that shows how to irrigiate, I've got a feeling that
I'm doing it wrong, I'm using a ear syringe to irrigiate. You squirt it
on the top and it's suppose to come out from the bottom nostrils right?

Personally, when I had my septum worked on, it was really
uncomfortable. There is no video about ear syringes-there is a video
about the neti pot that was posted. I'd just warn you: I got a nasty
post-op infection when I used an ear syringe. You can't really get them
clean or dry, and pseudomonas loves wet areas. In my opinion, if the
syringe effect is desired, I'd use a NeilMed rinse bottle--they sell
them at Walgreens, they're clear, can be easily disinfected with
vinegar and will dry between uses. Also, they explain how to use
them--because they're for sinuses, not ears. With ear bulb syringe, you
draw up the saline solution and squirt it up your nose and it should
run out the other side. After surgery, you may get bloody or colored
discharge. Most surgeons put you on post-op antibiotics to prevent
infection as you have raw areas and your cilia are not functioning
well.
I agree that the recovery takes a long time. There's the immediate
recovery, and then the longer term healing.
Possibly they used a topical anestheic on your nose, and it dulled
the pain for a day.
After my experience, I'd avoid bulb syringes--the narrow neck and the
inability to see the inside makes them impossible to clean and you need
to be extra careful not to introduce bacteria into your recently
traumatized sinuses.
Neti pots are easy to clean, but they deliver a low pressure flow,
and post op you may want more pressure to remove crusting.
 Feel better.
