I've (or so I thought) been suffering the symptoms of sinusitis for 7-8
months now. I outlined much of what has happened in a previous thread
that can be found <a

>.

Not much as changed...the lethargy seems to have subsided a bit,
something I think had been caused by the bombardment of anti-biotics on
my body at the time. I finally got into an ENT, he quickly scheduled a
CT scan to confirm my condition, and just a few minutes ago I was told
that I have no sinus infection what-so-flippin-ever. This would be
great if it weren't for the fact that I still feel straight-up crumby.
I'm at a loss, I thought I had my problem pegged. Now I've reverted
back to a nameless condition...

I've heard that CT scans can be less than conclusive at times. I intend
to pursue a Neurologist, but I just can't abandon the theory of my
condition being sinusitis since it seemed to fit the mold so well. Are
there any other prevalent conditions that can commonly describe these
symptoms. Thanks for any feedback, you guys are great.

The 'bombardment of anti-biotics' and the SADiet (Standard American Diet) killed off all
the good bacteria in your intestines. Do some searches for "probiotics" "Specific
Carbohydrate Diet" "Elaine Gottschall author of the book "Breaking the vicious cycle"
"Balance of intestinal flora", etc, etc, and you will begin to see the picture.

Also, Dr. Ronald Hoffman, M.D. , author of "Seven Weeks To A Settled Stomach" of New York,
who writes the intro to the book says

"I began to see unanticipated benefits (from the SCD diet). Patients with muscle aches,
stiff joints and even full-blown arthritis, chronic skin rashes, psoriasis, generalized
fatigue and 'spaciness' were alleviated." Although not mentioned, sinusitis will
definitely benefit by 'establishing a healthy balance of intestinal flora'.

Now, most docs will poo poo this but it definitely works.

What it (balancing the intestinal flora or SCD diet)  is doing is taking you back to the
caveman diet. All the sugars, carbohydrates, bad oils etc, etc. is killing us.

"Let food be thy medicine and, and medicine be thy food." Hippocrates.

Good luck. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have.
