On more than one occasion now. I have posted on this board that I have
made some new discovery only to end up back here posting about how bad
my sinuses are again. Last time I thought I had things figured out
while taking Avelox for a few days. It came back again!. This latest
time, I was nearly cleared up for 2 weeks when we found that I had a
hiatal hernia. The doctor put me on Aciphex and oh what a change it
made to my sinuses. I was free!. Then shorlty after that the doctor
wanted a better look at this hernia and had me do an upper GI
exam(camera down the throat). They didn't see much of the hernia but
did find a bactiera called H-Pylori. So I switched off the Aciphex and
started what they call a Prev-Pack. Its a como antiboitic and prevacid
to kill the H-Pylori. Ever since then, my sinuses have gone back to the
sorry state they were before. I've now doubled my Aciphex dose and
still no help. I just don't get it! No matter what I do, it always
finds a way to come back. Why is that?

Because sinusitis is a chronic illness without a definitive cure.
I've heard the exact same complaint from sufferers of arthritis too:
Symptoms wax and wane over time, but it never goes away entirely.
That's how chronic diseases are.

Unless the arthritis is caused by a treatable infection. I was very
arthritic for years, including two crippling, totally debilitating
episodes 7 years apart.
I no longer have arthritic symptoms at all, haven't for years, except
when I've been off of doxycycline too long. IIRC, a study some years
ago found that 40 of all arthritics, including RA patients, got
improvements and some got total remission on minocycline.
