Not sure if this is the right group for this or not.  For the past
month or so, I have had incresed mucus production from my right
nostril.  It happens alot during the day that I can feel bubbly mucus
blocking the right nostril and I have to blow my nose.  I have never
had sinus problems.  I dont snort drugs.  There is no pain associated
with this, and the mucus is basically very clear.  It is bothersome
though to have to deal with it all the time.  I am blowing my nose
every 20 minutes at work, and like I said, it is only the right
nostril.  Anyone ever had this?  Also I have minor allergies this time
of year, but this doesnt seem like an allergy issue.  Also it is easier
to blow it out then suck it into my throat.  For some reason when i try
to suck it up it doesnt want to go.  It is like a 1 way exit????  Any
help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi--any possibility that you may have something (blade of grass, etc)
lodged in your right nostril, and your body is producing the mucus to
flush it out?

When it's asymmetric (more one side than the other), there is usually
some physical cause, not just allergy.  You may have some blockage in
your sinuses somewhere, or a deviated septum, that is exacerbating a
runny nose and making it run more on one side than the other.

Try using a decongestant and see if things improve.

Sounds like a nasal polyp.
