Nasal ulcers

I have a nasal ulcer (septal) that tends to bleed when irritated. As the
trees are now budding, my nose runs and even moisturized tissues irritate it
and cause bleeding. Should I continue using a nasal rinse? Antihistamines?
Nasal gel?
Any suggestions on how to get this darn thing to heal would be truly
appreciated.

If you're taking steroids of any kind (either oral or nasal spray),
stop.  Steroids retard healing.

Avoid any irritants, such as decongestant nasal sprays and harsh fumes.

Apply some antibiotic ointment (Bactroban or Neosporin or the
equivalent) to the ulcer.  That will keep it germ-free and promote healing.

Take a zinc supplement.

If the ulcer doesn't heal naturally, you should see an ENT to rule out
malignancy and discuss the option of surgical repair.

Thanks, Stephen,
I am assuming it's an ulcer...it's a borderless crater.....smooth  with no
blisters.
