Well It time to replace the carpet. I do it every 2 years. So if you had
to pick a carpet What material is best to get? 100% Nylon is on sale.
But is there any that are better than others to keep down allergies. I
understand that carpet is a dust magnet. But we are not allowed hard
floors with area rugs. So if you had to get carpet  which would you buy?
I keep the humidity below 35% because I have dustmite allergy. But just
checking what people think is best to keep clean ect. Thank you.

Well, if you're forced to get carpets, then choose ones with the
shortest, tightest pile like velvet carpets or olefin.  Avoid shag
carpets and deep-pile carpets because those are most likely to trap gunk
deep inside.

Stainmaster or the equivalent may help resist trapping dirt.

Any time I buy new rugs I have to use Febreeze to get rid of the odor of
the fabrics.

I have all area cotton rugs in our house except for the bathroom mats
which I can pick up and wash in the washing machine.

Thank you. I heard or olefin, But not velvet. There is carpet that is
velvet? Just seems like i would slide on it. That might be good if i
need to use the bathroom quick , and just slide into the bathroom :) you
said tight weave? I would think that would trap more. Or is it that it
wont get into it? Still learning here. So be patient with me.
