Hello,
I'm hoping that one or more group members can provide some information
or advice regarding the problem of frequent ear-popping. This started
about five days ago, following a mild cold, and has continued to occur
frequently in my right ear. My understanding is that the eardrum pops
when pressure needs to be equalized, as when climbing a mountain or
flying in airplane. I don't understand why it should happen again and
again when I am just sitting here at sea level. I do have chronic
sinus headaches and congestion (which I treat with sudafed and the
Grossan irrigator), but not usually accompanied by ear-popping.
I have learned much useful information by reading this newsgroup in the
past and would be very grateful to anyone who could provide relevant
information or advice.
Thanks,
Dick St. Jean

I once had that and it was jsut a hair lying against the eardrum. Remove in
15 seconds by the ENT. And there I was thinking of all sorts of fancy
explanations.
Of course, it could be due to fluid or an infection in there too, but you
really are not going to know until you see an ENT....
