I have a CT scan next week.  I was surprised that he didn't want to wait to
see if the antibiotics would work.  He then explained the insurance
companies are changing policies on CT scans and they will eventually have to
be preapproved with a lot of paperwork, etc. and could take forever before
one could actually be done and since I am nearly one year post surgery, he
would like to look and see what is going on.  I accepted years ago that this
will be something I will have to live with although when I am good about
taking my vitamins and supplements, I do much better.  I have started that
regimen again in hopes of getting this taken care of.  I absolutely found
relief with high doses of vitamin C, as recommended by some doctors.  That
may not be for everyone but it worked for me.  I don't know what made me
stop taking it but that seemed to be when things started getting bad again.
Maybe a coincidence, but I was a firm believer in it.  Has anyone else had
good luck with vitamin C to ward off sinus infections?

Thanks,

Vicki

Vitamin C is an antioxidant, which can have anti-allergenic effects.

If that's the effect that's helping you, you could try even stronger
antioxidants so you wouldn't need such high doses.  Proanthocyanidin
(trade name Pycnogenol) is reportedly 20 times more potent antioxidant
potential than vitamin C.
