I tryed OTC and learned the hard wy that they are only good for very
short term. I never use 12 hour or phenylephrine over 0.5...... if i do
the rebound is sudden 2-days. if i use  0.5 i can use it 1 spray (not 2)
in one nostral. and that is good for 4-5 days. Anyways is there any OTC
that is less on rebound? Is Nasalcrom, SinoFresh, Zicam allergy releif
any good for any ony.I tryed Nasalcrom and Sinofresh  and it seems to
help some. but i used then together.Zicam im not to sure about. Then I
read about . Also Is pseudoephedrine any beter or wore addicted than
phenylpropenalanine? I have been readin so much and buying every OTC
stuff I can. Is there any new drug that shrink nasal polyps? I have no
health insurance. The last Dr says surgery for polyps. Then he aded
turbinate reduction and septum strightening. I dont want to pay his boat
payment. Another Dr after ct scan says I have a few polys near the
bridge of my nose. So I tryed 1 drop of OTC 0.5 and without sniffing in
I opened up in 3-60 secounds. Dose that not meen that its close to the
maxillary/bridge of nose? If I spray it in it deep it just burns and
gives me a slight headache. Another Dr said There is a couple large
poyps that he seen with just a magnifier. (previous was a endescope. I
just can not see having surgery that is un needed. Sorry for the long
letter. Any input would be great. All I reall want is to breath like
when I use a tiny drop by the bridge of my nose. It opens me wide up and
im happy. Why turbinate.septum, polyps surgery? I dont understand. 3 Drs
3 different surgeries. Why would 1 want all 3 and 2 want one? Thank you

In some states (just a few)  you can pick up insurance for a while without
restrictions as to preconditions.  Or the pre-existing conditions can be
excluded for only a year or whatever.

Yes but the side-effects of the stimulants are too hgh a price to pay ....

Sinus surgery is still an art and there are different opproaches.

You need a very experienced surgeon and to go with his judgment.

Try a University medical center - they may agree to bill you in some cases
too......or wait until you have insurance .. or try Astelin etc.

Nasal crom isn't a decongestant but blocks allergy symptoms in a different
manner. Read product insert for details. To get a real benefit from nasal
crom you need to use it regularly, every 6 hrs or so of every day and begin
regular treatment with it a couple weeks before allergies really hit you.
Once you are really stuffed up nasal crom won't be of much benefit.  Have
you tried regular use of an inhaled steroid spray like Flonase to shrink
your polyps?   best,  AW

Schering just got approval for Nasonex for treating chronic sinusitis
polyps.  Also try Rantidine.
