Hi folks,
Last month I saw the ENT to go over the CT scan of my sinuses. I'm
quite puzzled by something. He said my ethmoid sinuses on my right
side were clogged, and he recommended surgery. Problem is: most
problems I have are on the LEFT side. He could not explain this to
me. Also, he is the same surgeon who operated on my deviated septum
10 years ago. It's not straight, but I guess it's straighter than
before the surgery.
He's supposed to be a good surgeon: more than one doctor has
recommended him to me. I'm concerned that having this surgery isn't
going to help.
I haven't had the sinus surgery. I'm not sure I'm going to. Any
comments on any of the above?

Probably the right is so badly blocked that it is not even draining.
The left seems worse because it is still draining and is not yet totally
blocked.
Let me guess that the septum was deviated to the left. Would that be
correct?

I'd recommend getting a second opinion in this case. If you're
questioning the diagnosis/surgery, it's not a good idea to go ahead
with it.
Did you get a chance to see and understand the CT scans?
