I have had sinusitis surgery.  It did help some.  I still get sinus
infections.  Does more than
one sinus surgery worsen the condition or does it take several sinus
surgeries to get it
right?                Thanks

My surgery helped from the standpoint of getting rid of the chronic
infections.  However, since the surgery, i have thicker PND that
aggravates me.  I also seem to have more eustacian tube irritation.

I've come to the conclusion that either:
a) these conditions are from anatomical changes to my sinus/nasal
passages
b) i still haven't healed completely (surgery was 6/20/05)
c) i'm just more cognizant of these symptoms since i'm always aware of
my sinuses
d) all of the above

Who knows?  I am happy to be rid of the nasty forehead headaches i
would frequently get due to my frontal sinus issues.

Be aware that revision surgery requires an experienced surgeon.  The
common sinus 'landmarks' may have changed during your first surgery.
It would be a nightmare to end up worse off after a second surgery.

Heavy post nasal drip after sinus surgery is usually due to slow cilia and
can be corrected by measures to increase cilia movement.

Several sinus surgeries???? God forbid. No one wants you to have several.
All attempt is made to complete the procedure with one, one is enough. But
sometimes new things develop, esp if attention isn't paid to restoring cilia
action.
