I would like to know what is your favorite method to irrigate your
sinuses? Neti Pot,
Plastic Bottle, Water Pik, Water In Palm Of Hand, Etc. Also, is it
better to have head
down or up when irrigating nasal/sinus?

                                                   Thank you.

I use the HydroPulse.  I lean over the sink but I'm still standing right
side up.

I use WaterPik, stand up and bend at a 90% angle between my hips and upper
body over the sink. Or like so:
(sink) +

Well, I had that done with a special character...but it didn't work! You get
the idea. :)

My method:   I use a water pik with the Grossan adapter. ...I have the
flow a little stronger than the Dr. suggests, but then I don't have any
major blockage problems.   ...I bend over the sink with the device in
one nostril. ...I swallow, periodically, which permits a greater
retension of the liquid, then I exhale lightly through my nose.   ...I
do this a number of times, then switch nostrils. Then I go back, and
after the flow seems clear, I suck as much of the water in my nose as I
can, then spit out through my mouth.  ...I repeat on the other nostril.
(I irrigate about twice a day. ...I cut it out completely for a while,
but I noticed my sinuses gradually reverted back to being as they were
before)

If I have a flare-up, as I did a few weeks ago, I step up the irrigation
to 5 times a day. ...Once again, I managed to get through this latest
flare-up without having to resort to antibiotics.

If I develop head-aches from my frontals being inflamed, I'll switch
from using luke-warm irrgation water to the water being as cold as the
tap can provide.    ...Jon

I use a Hydropulse twice daily, standing with head perpendicular bent over
the sink.

Instead of 4-5 major sinus episodes a year, I now have 2-3 minor sinus
episodes a year.

my thanks to Dr Grossan !              AW

I use hot tap water with Kosher salt in palm of hand with head down
over sink as much as possible. Works great.

I use a plastic bottle.

Are there great advantages to other methods?

I've used the Nielmed bottle for years. About two weeks ago I started
using Hydropulse. Decided I would give it a try. At this time it seems
like it may work better. It defiantly seems to get the saline into the
sinuses better.

I agree, that's been my experience.

In addition, and probably more important, the pulsation rate of the Hydro
Pulse is at a rhythm to restore normal cilia function. Once the nasal /
sinus movement is restored, that is most important for sinus health.
Just as important - the pollen, IgE, bacteria, Major Basic Portein that the
eosinophiles product, biofilm are all in the mucus so effective removal is
important.

OTOH, I can irrigate in the a.m. and not have the water drain out til I
lie down on my left side at night.  Not sure what that says about my
cilia; maybe they're dead.  Or maybe my left deviated septum is in the way?
