I just found out that I have a Hiatel Hernia. The more that I am
researching this new find the more suspicious I am that this may be the
cause of all my sinus problems. Does anyone here have expereince with
Hiatel Hernia's?

My husband has a Hiatel Hernia and no sinus problems . His doctor told
him to use Prilosec when he gets food stuck in it which is not often.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on my progress. I'm getting
pretty excited about my results thusfar. I know its very early but I
think I'm finally headed in a postive direction. My doctor just
switched perscription at my suggestion. I'm now on day 4 of using
aciphex. This is a GERD medication. My sinuses have been on 10 as I
like to say since I cought some sort of virus about 3 weeks ago and
even thought this was turning into an infection. I've since started on
this new aciphex GERD medication and the last 4 days I have little
irritation and much less mucus production from my sinuses. I've even
stopped carrying a spare tee shirt to blow my nose!
After all these years, I'm hoping that I'm not jumping the gun here.
Its so easy to get excited about this stuff sometimes that doesn't work
out. So far I'm just loving it. I'm hoping that after a few more weeks
of good days that my sinus and inflamation will lessen even more due to
the rest my sinuses will get.
I plan to follow up with a gastro doc in the next few weeks and see if
they have any further advice or suggestions and to explain my sinus
issues. I've not yet been to see anyone in this area so it will be a
whole new direction. I just wished I would have found this sooner. I
feel like I've missed so much because of this darn sinus problem. I
know all of you can relate.
