Hi everyone,
Well, I had an interesting visit at the doctor's the other day and
wanted to relay what happened. He said something, dropped it, and now I
am really scared. First, I am 34, female, and generally in great
health. I had been taking Flonase for over a year. I quit taking it in
November because of severe headaches I attributed to the Flonase.
Well, right before Christmas I started feeling blah. Always tired, no
exhausted. Headaches again. Couldn't smell anything, but didn't have a
clogged nose. I went to the doctor the beginning of January. My blood
pressure was extremely high, unusual for me, I was running a fever of
about 101.3, and hurt. He did a quick checkup, now this is what gets
me! He asked if I had noticed this thing on my tonsil before and said
it may need a biopsy... So I get my medicine. 4,000 mgs of amoxicillin,
some pseudovent, and some cough medicine (I didn't have a cough?). He
said I had an ear infection and impacted sinuses.
Of course I forgot to mention my tonsil thing because I am pretty
freaked out. I get home and grab a flashlight. Well, my tonsils have
always been enlarged and scars due to chronis tonsillitis as a child.
On my left tonsil is a little blister looking thing about the size of a
pencil eraser. Everyday, I check and my tonsils are actually getting
smaller for the first time since I was like 6, but that little blister
like thing is still there! Same size and all.
Now, it is important to mention that I have had 3 teeth pulled in the
last 2 months. One only days before I went to the doctor. Both
extractions were long, (2 hours on one and over 3 on one) and painful.
Should I be thinking like tonsil cancer or something? I am seriously
upset and worried. I can not find anything that references to blisters
on tonsils except in HIV patients ( I am not HIV Positive) and
tonsillitis ( the doctor did not mention tonsillitis and I don't have
an overly sore throat). Could this be because of the dental work? Is it
because I am sick?
I appreciate ya'll for listening. I just need to be able to sleep
again. Thinking I have cancer isn't helping me right now.

Dunno 'bout your scenario, but when I had my wisdom teeth out, I had
several odd results. One was a cold sore or something like that, which
appeared almost immediately at the far back of my soft palate, almost
in my throat. It hurt a lot; you didn't mention pain in your "blister."
Anyway, it disappeared after about two weeks.
Good luck with your situation.
