Inflammation of Sinus

Can sinuses be inflamed and not infected? Can fluid still build up in the
sinus cavity if theres no infection..Im new to this problem and would
appreciate  a reply. Thanks , Rich

Allergy would cause inflammation without infection. Equally, some
infections cause no rise in temperature.

Absolutely.  Fluid will build up in time.

You can have inflammation without infection.  In its worst case, your
sinus passages can close up and you will have severe pressure from the
backed up fluid in your sinuses.  They can then become infected and
then you will really have a problem.  Afrin and steroid sprays can both
decrease the inflammation and swelling and backup of fluids in the
sinus passages.
