The old advice about getting rid of your carpets if you're allergic to
dust mites seems more true than ever

The first I've read that vacuuming mostly kills the main predator of
dust mites, leaving the little bastards free to multiply.

The point that the moisture from shampooing a carpet causes millions
of dust mite eggs to hatch was also interesting.  I wish they'd done
tests on one of the cleaners that use superheated "dry" steam.
