anyone experience tightness in their chest while also having sinus
trouble? suffering from chronic sinus inflammation at the moment but
occasionally having quite uncomfortable breathing in my chest and
shortness of breath too.

I don't have asthma (at least my doctor did not suggest this at any
point despite me mentioning this problem), and I tested clear for
allergies.

I guess I suspect from my reading online, here and elsewhere, that I
have something like vasimotor sinusitis, could this give me asthma like
symptoms too? Or can a blockage in the nasal passages lead to
congestion in the chest, I have no cough really.

I can just about handle being weak all day and having sore sinuses, but
breathing problems introduce an element of anxiety that's difficult to
deal with.

i guess that all atypical chest pains should be checked out.

but I have occasional chest pains.  is does not follow any physical
exertion.  it feels like someone is sitting on my chest.  i wouldnt say
that i have shortness of breath though.  i have wondered if my chest pains
have followed times when i was really sniffing and snorting heavily.

Yes,  I have had significant problems with chest tightness and even
some wheezes and congestion from all of the drainage that I have been
having for over 3 years.  Sometimes I have thought that I was going to
suffocate until I could get it rinsed out and/or coughed up.   It has
cleared up significantly on prednisone.  I'm not suggesting anyone rush
out and ask their doctor for prednisone, because there are serious side
effects,  but if inflammation is the problem, it might be an option to
try short term.

As always, only an opinion.  Always consult your doctor for reliable
diagnosis and treatment.
