I had a camera up my nose and the dr. said there were polyps. One was
large. I took rhinocort after taking OTC sprays that made me rebound. so
after a month of no OTC and got off them I breath better. Went back to
DR. He said The large polyp was smaller. Do polyps change sizes? Also
the strange thing is i ran out of rhinocort and In the side he said had
the large polyp I used OTC just one time cause it was 90% blocked. But
this time i drippled it in instead of spraying it so it would only go in
a little ways (I guues a inch) Within 20 secounds I was breathing 100%.
Is it possible to have one large polyp swell and then go down that fast/
Or is it turminates? I only used one drop in a circular motion. i could
not beleive it worked that fast. Went back to Another Dr. He said just
looking inside my left nostral he could see the polyp. There is weird.
One large polyp can close the nose that much? Help

Hello, Yes one polyp can block your nasal passageway. My large polyp was
removed but they do have a tendency to return. Some sprays work to shrink
the polyp. Most times it is only temporary relief.
If the MD prescribed a steroid spray and you use it on a continuous basis, I
would suggest having a occular pressure test as some people are sensitive
enough to steroid sprays to raise the occular pressure to a dangerous level.
Wish you well.
Take Care.

Thank you, Can it be removed without putting me under. Can I just have a
local pain releif? Seems silly to knock me out for 1 polyp.. Thank you

Hello, Can't make a statement concerning your situation. From my experience,
no. The size, location and possibility of other problems usually negate a
local.
Take Care.

I doubt anyone would do that.  Could have to be cutting near
dangerous areas.  One false move...
