And after 2 and a half weeks I haven't noticed much improvement.
Does anyone know if this is normal? I've never had a 6 week course of
antibiotics before (by all accounts this is the necessary period for
fixing pesky sinus infections).
I guess what I'm wondering is, if you're prescribed the drugs for 6
weeks is it normal that after 2 they still aren't working?

I was prescribed 3 weeks of augmentin and I went through what you are
going through. I called the ENT after about a week with little
improvement. She told me to finish it off and come in for a ct scan.
Her reply was that for some people antibiotics didn't work. If it's
not working after 2 weeks, it may not be the right antibiotic for you.

When you take Augmentin it is essential to take a full gloss of water before
and a full glass of water after each pill. This reduces the GI upset.

Yes and thay may or may not be working after 6 weeks either.
Sometimes they work right away, sometimes later, sometiems you have to take a
different one or a different approach.
Certainly call your doctor's nurse to check though.....

No.
If after 5 days you haven't noticed any improvement at all, it means
that particular antibiotic isn't working for you.
