Hi all,

I had FESS in June to open up the ethmoids, primarily on the left side.
I have noticed at times a 'flapping' sensation of some tissue in my
left nostril upon lightly blowing my nose. It 'feels' to be in the left
ethmoid region.  I usually notice this after irrigating.  Today after
irrigating, I felt the flapping sensation, and then in the shower I
smelled something odd for a moment.  It turned out to be a small amount
of blood.  At that same moment, my left passages went from somewhat
shut to totally open.  Following this, i had a modest amount of blood
flowing post nasally down my throat.   After getting out of the shower,
my left side became really congested and I had some sinus pressure in
the ethmoid/frontal regions.

Does this sound like scar tissue formation?  I have a followup with my
ENT in 3 weeks.  I will be sure to raise the issue with him.

Thanks.

Maybe it was some crusting.  I seem to remember feeling something
similar and then washing a scab out of my sinuses quite a while after
surgery.  If it was a scab, then it could cause some bleeding.
Hopefully the bleeding has stoppped.  Just my opinion.
