Prince of the sniffles
Friday, August 26, 2005 12:23 AM PDT
Ozzy Osbourne's never been one to shy away from popping pills. But
downing a
few Benadryl along with his daily regimen apparently isn't cutting it
anymore. Ozzy's wife and manager, Sharon, announced that the metal
legend's
summer tour, Ozzfest, will have to deal without him from now on. The
reason
behind the decision isn't the nearly fatal collision Ozzy survived on
the
grounds of his English home this year, or even the perpetual shakes and
stuttering he publicly endured on MTV's hit reality show "The
Osbournes."
Nope, it seems hay fever has bested the Prince of Darkness, as Sharon
told
London's Daily Mirror, "When the pollen count is high, he's just wiped
out.
And there's only so many things he can take for it." Osbourne's band,
Black
Sabbath, has been the main draw at the festival ever since it started in
1996, so the loss of the festival's namesake is certainly a blow to
upcoming
musicians, many of whom have used the carnival-like atmosphere as a
launching pad for their careers. This year's Ozzfest also includes such
as
Rob Zombie and Velvet Revolver. The last date of the tour is Sept. 4.

Dear Mr Osbourne,
It is unfortunate that you have allergy symptoms at a time when relief
is easily available. Benadryl is not a good choice as an antihistamine.
Allegra has fewer side effects.
Pulsatile irrigation would reduce your symptoms by removing the pollen
in your system and reducing the IgE in the nose and in your blood stream.
Most patints get relief from a short course of prednisone as well.
With these measures you should be able to make it to the concert.
Good luck to you.

Isn't it funny how we give stuff away, free, to celebrities who have more
money than any of us? Yet if a poor person needs something they are just out
of luck.

All too true, but free was not my intention here, I assure you.

Haha! Nothing will cure Ozzy. The guy's a basket case. Weird that they made
a reality TV show about him.

Well, having watched the show a few times, I can say he just wants to
live a normal life. It's his wife and kids that are crazy.
I am sure he is suffering from his sinus problems just like the rest of
us. Maybe more so if all the stories of snorting cocaine are true (and
he doesn't deny them.)
Have a heart!

Well, I guess that depends on what you call "NORMAL"????? (LOL)
He would probably try snorting drugs through the machine? (Liquid cocaine?)
