Do you get enough unsaturated fat in your diet?

Nuts and wild salmon are good sources.

Harry. I use AYR nasal gel for mine, as mine get dry a lot.
It comes in a little tube.

Hello,
That does do a good job, however i stopped using it for some reason i forget,
probably the price . . . or iamnot allowed salt, and the salt solution is
far more than enough already.

Hello,
I used to use a lot of olive oil in cooking and salads, until my Doc put
me on a diet and i found that using olive oil in cooking makes the oil just
as bad as if you used pig fat, so ihave learned how to make ghee and use
that a lot for cooking, and use yogurt dressing in my salads (good for the
digestion and yeast elimination). Salmon doesnot agree with my tum tum -
it causes me sleepless nights, so i rarely eat it now. I should get back
into my nut rut, and will start today - thank you for reminding me. Ihave
a freezer full of all kinds of nuts, and always forget to use them - it all
started when Doc. put me on a diet . . . Iamnot ignoring the wild part of
your solmon suggestion, as it is all meat that often gives me a bad time
at night, but salmon just happens to be one of the worse. Pork and lamb give
me the least amount of trouble. Beef comes second after salmon. My allergist
took me off of chicken. I should eat nothing but fish, however have you seen
the price of that lately? Soy and veggies are what i try for more often than
not. Beans and corn are a good second. Iam not allowed to eat grains. Cheese
is a diet no no for me also, although i use it a lot, only sprinkled as a
condiment because iam not allowed salt, but not enough to compensate for
the loss of meat. Tune in next week and i will tell you the rest ):

Could a low fat diet cause nasal dryness?

Yes I think so.

It probably would have to be an extremly low-fat diet though.  I was on such a
diet and I think it was a contributing factor.

See e.g. http://www.umm.edu/altmed/ConsSupplements/Omega3FattyAcidscs.html
under skin disorders and asthma.

I would not advocate adding fats to the diet for most people because they do
to need them anyway andf becauseof the calories.

However, nuts and wild salmon are a good substitute for other protein/fat foods
for many reasons (including heart health).

Hello,
Thank you everyone, however i think iwill stick with my sea salt solution
(it is cheaper), and Ankur’s glycerine suppositories for a while - they fit
nicely . . . (:
