Just for fun,
here's my annual list of famous sinus sufferers.  If anyone knows of any
others, I'll add them to the list:

John F. Kennedy.  U.S. president.  Suffered from several chronic
ailments, including chronic sinusitis.

Bill Clinton, U.S. president.  Allergies caused chronic sinus
congestion.  Had surgery to create sinus windows in 1979.

John W. Campbell, science-fiction writer.  Claimed that Dianetics cured
his chronic sinusitis.

Steve Olsen.  Actor.  Died of a sinus infection in 1946.

Pinky Lee.  Actor and comedian who performed on TV kiddie show.  In
1955, collapsed on live TV from a severe sinus attack, scaring his child
viewers.  His acting career never recovered from that embarrassment.

Terence Stamp.  British actor.  In 1996, left England permanently
because he couldn't tolerate his chronic sinus problems from
the air pollution there.  Wrote several allergy-free cookbooks.

Gary Busey.  Actor and composer.  Had a tumor removed from his sinus
cavity in 1997.

Marilyn Miller.  Actress who appeared in Broadway musicals.  Died of a
post-op infection following sinus surgery in 1936.

Janice Dickinson.  Supermodel.  Recently starred in reality-TV show "The
Surreal Life," during which she got a nasty sinus infection requiring
antibiotics.

Erik Heiden.  Champion cyclist and speed skater.  Dr. Robert Ivker
claims to have cured him of his chronic sinusitis.

Lasse Kjus.  Norwegian Olympic alpine skier.  Has struggled with
sinusitis and bronchitis for years.

Walter M. Schirra, Jr., Donn F. Eisele and Walter Cunningham,
astronauts.  All three developed severe head colds during Apollo 7
flight.  Discovered that in zero gravity, mucus does not drain out of
the sinuses.  Schirra took Actifed for relief, which may be why he
eventually did some TV commercials for that product.
