Hello everyone ,,
 Few  Questions : ,
i have  multiple polyps at my left nasal and a  single in probably
right one ..  so when i get cold infection say sinus  then i feel my
eye shivers ( nasal side of eye , just initial part of eye) .. is it
common with polyps peoples or is it a  sign of polyps r  filling my
sinuses ? .
 > in world about 30 million peoples have polyps (.5% of world
population , may be even more) ... so how many of these 30 million have
polyps in there sinuses ? . i mean .5% of world population have nasal
polyps .. out of these .5% how many of them have sinus polyps . some
doctors say in rare cases polyps go into sinuses while other say its
common whats true ..

> i know few peoples who have nasal polyps from 10 years . and never
operated .. and those who operarted are suggesting me not to operare
cause they will be back  with in few months or a  year . so if you are
gonna live 70 years and your age is 20 . 50 surgeries in your life is
hell .
> anti biotics r  slow poison with effects like kidney /lungs failure and lot of other dieases .( i am talking about long term use ) ...

in surgery there is risk according to uk doctors one out of 200
surgeries r  complicated .may be they mean loss of eye etc. so there is
lot of risk too as one need to go for surgery number of time ...

" so what must be the best statergy to fight with these polyps " ..

one more thing indian govt. banned use of non -iodiesed salt... so can
i use iodised salt for nasal irrigation ?

Why on earth would they do that? Can't you get pickling salt?
Main reason to use non iodized salt is that some persons are sensitive to
this or the anticaking chemicals they use. But if you aren't sensitive to
these , regular salt NOT SEA SALT - is fine.

Nasal polyps are polyps you can see in the nose. Sinus polyps usually can't
be seen except by X ray. But both have the exact same etiology and
physiology so its common to SEE nasal polyps that block your breatheing, etc
and not see the ones within the sinuses that are asymptomatic.

I do see that number quoted but I think that it would be *much" lower if you
use a very experienced sinus surgeon.

Sure - it makes little difference.

due to some dieases like " thypoid " some throat dieases  can be
controlled by iodiesed salt only . so if govt. instructed all salt
sellers to mix iodine in salt as its good for health ./....

but can someone guess what will be  the  percentage of peoples with
sinus polyps out of peoples with nasal polyps. What is the percentage of
risk that peoples suffering with nussle polyps  can develop sinus
polyps too .  does  nasal polyps surgery reduces the risk of occurance
of sinus polyps .

"peoples i know personally did not opt surgery and use
antibiotics/homeopathic medicines occationally when sinus/polyps bother
them badly "

Many countries do indeed require by law that iodine be added to table salt to
help prevent iodine-deficiency goiter, or hyperthyroidism, in areas where the
soil, and therefore foods grown in it, is/are lacking in iodine.

However, the wisdom of force-feeding iodine to the whole population is often
questioned, especially now that people eat food from all over the world and are
no longer at much risk of iodine deficiency.   The practise if adding iodine is
suspected to be a major cause of hypothroidism, especially given the massive
overdoses of salt (and therefore iodine) consumed in many diets.

I am allergic to Iodine. I have had a thyroid scan and a biopsy of my
gland.

I cannot eat shell fish either. no vitamins with Iodine in them.

I am not Iodine deficient according to my Endocrine doctor. He
specializes in care of the thyroid gland.
