Does anyone know of a good ENT/surgeon in the Long Island area to
evaluate chronic sinusitis and/or to do a skillfull surgery?

I already have a referral to Dr. Tichenor, and I'd also like to be
evaluated by an ENT.

Thanks,

Susan

I'd like to hear from folks in my area who have had good experiences
with ENTs.

I know where Philadelphia is; I'm not ready to discuss surgery, just to
be evaluated.

Thanks, though.

Mount Sinai is highly rated in ENT by US News   (after  Sloan Kettering but I
do not  know if the latter is mainly for Cancer?).

You could research some doctors there......

I'm sure that when you see Dr. Tichenor, he can recommend a good ENT.

Dr. Tichenor is a strong believer in the allergic fungal sinusitis
theory promoted by the Mayo Clinic.  He will almost certainly start you
on topical antifungals like amphotericin B.

It worries me a little that his strong belief in that pariticular theory might
bias his recommendations of an ENT.

He did post here at one point but he seemed to me to be quite remote in the way
he communciated with people, seldom answering anything directly.

Have we ever had some posts from peopel who actually saw him and liked what
they got enough to stay with him or recommend him?
