Normally, breathing through my nose is restricted. I can pinch either
nostril shut and inhale deeply and it's obvious the un-pinched nostril is
not wide open. If I use Afrin I can breathe just fine through either side
using the same pinch test. Does this mean I have just plain old congestion,
or swollen turbinates or what? Does it pretty much eliminate a deviated
septum being the cause, because obviously the spray doesn't un-deviate the
septum?

Thanks,

Walter

I agree that you probably have swollen turbinates.
