Hi
hope you don't mind me popping in- but would be grateful if anyone could
advise me,

following a bad cold I had weird feeling between one of my eyes and eye
brow- well over afew days this swelled up and I felt dizzy and sick and felt
odd- like legs was not working as if I was walking on a bouncy castle,
within a day under the same eye the cheek bone has also swelled, doctor
diagnoised a sinus infection and gave me antibiotics well 3 weeks later
although im a bit better and on another course of antibiotics and steroid
nasal spray still the swelling is there and feel nausau and dizzy 75 per
cent of the time, still not able to go to work or leave the house for any
length of time incase the dizzyness becomes too much

has anyone else experienced this and if so how long till it cleared?

thank you all for your time
regards
cath

Sorry I didn't respond to you sooner; I missed your post somehow.

You need to see an ear-nose-throat (ENT) specialist.  When multiple
courses of antibiotics have failed, there's not much more a General
Practitioner or family doctor can do at that point.

You need to get an appointment with an ENT as soon as possible.  With
my first acute sinus infection many years ago, I ran a high fever and
got so dizzy I had to crawl to the bathroom.

Since then I've had true vertigo on several occassions that I'm sure
were related to the sinusitis.

The swelling and other symptoms sound serious. Has the new antibiotic
and nasal spray helped?  You may need an oral steroid to take down the
inflamation, You also need to get a CT scan ASAP.  Your PC doctor could
order one while you are waiting to see an ENT (it takes some time
usually), but if the CT scan is bad you could probably get in earlier.

Good luck and let us know how you do.

Hi
thanks for answering me,
I think this time antibiotic and spray has helped was sitting in garden on
saturday and felt the fluttering feeling I had got few days before this all
started and when i looked in mirror the eyebrow was not raised so high-
later on it went back higher again but was glad it looked almost normal for
a little while, have appointment at hospital tomorrow about my eyes  and
with my eyebrow being so much higher and swollen than other one they may
have some ideas of how to treat it.
will let you know

thank you again
take care
