I have been dealing with copious post nasal drainage for the last two
weeks.  I have no nasal congestion or sinus pressure. Today, I noticed
that some of the drainage is discolored, but I don't feel as though I
have a sinus infection.  Could the discoloration be from dryness in the
sinus or nasal passages rather than infection?  Any ideas?

My ENT always wants to know just how discolored it is.

Deep yellow, yellow-orange, greenish, or brownish PND usually indicates
infection.

A slight discoloration (cream color) might just be due to dryness or
non-infectious inflammation.

You like either have or had an infection.

It is *after* an infection that you may get the most drainage as the sinuses
flush out the debris.

Or you might be on the edge...
