The following article about one failed cosmetic surgery may be of interest as a
caution, even though it is not about sinusitis.

Be careful who you choose for a surgeon!

damn! What could he have done in that short of time? If something wasn't
sterile would it cause an infection and cause her to die that fast? Other
thing I was thinking the whole time was the anestesia or however you spell
that, lol. My mom has her sinuses done by the same doc I did and something
happened that she started going into conjestive heart failure but she has
heart problems and is at high risk when going under.

From the article:

"Dr. Sachs is among the most sued doctors in New York State, having
settled 33 malpractice suits since 1995. She did not know that last year
the State Health Department took the extraordinary step of banning Dr.
Sachs - an ear, nose and throat specialist - from performing complex
nasal surgeries without the supervision of another surgeon; that the
operating room in his office is not accredited, as many of the best ones
are; or that while he states on his Web site that he has been affiliated
with the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary "for the last 23 years," he is
not affiliated with that hospital or any other."

That's more than enough red flags for me.

No thanks to that surgery for a face lift.  I will just keep my
wrinkles.

I would rather be alive for a few more years yet.
