Hello:

before i purchased the hydro pulse i searched high and low for any
negative comment regarding it much as i di for any purchase.  I found
nothing but praise for it and was looking forward to some relief from my
chronic condition which pretty much leaves me unable to clear my sinuses
of the build up on my own.  i have had several surgeries and even before
than began to have problems - constant drip (or something similar) - i was
on allergy shots for a year - my first surgery put a huge hole way up in
the septum.  i do use my hydro pulse and it is pleasent enough but it
doent seem to be as advantageous to me as the straight neti pot.  when i
neti pot, i plug up the oine nostril so i flood my sinuses.  i then snort
water through my mouth and spit out alot of stuff -- sorry for this
picture but i dont know how to pretty it up.  i seem to be able to clear
my nostrils alot better by snorting it and spitting it out than by blowing
my nose.  after snorting out some water and... i bend over with my head to
the ground and than stand up and whale blow out of my nose.  i do this
many times until the water is done - 3-4 times a day.  the hydro pulse
claims that it will get the cilia operating but I've never noticed any
change in my condition since using it.  i realize that every condition is
different though and it does seem that many people have found relief.  my
sinus condition started about 7 years ago in my late 30s.  it came on the
heels of my quitting smoking afte 20 years and I have often felt tempted
to go back to cigarettes but i know that if i didnt find any relief it
would be very difficult to quit.

Unfortunately if you have a huge hole in your septum, your problem is not
impaired cilia. Check with your doctor to be sure you aren't doing anything
to enlarge that hole in the septum.

Thanks, I have an appt with a new ENT in early May.  other surgeons have
not been optimistic about plugging the hole and i havent pushed since my
condition existed prior to the hole.  i've wondered if i'm not getting the
full benefit from the hydro pulse because the water doesnt get as far as it
could what with the hole redirecting it.
