Minor nasal bleeding

I had quite a bad sinus infection over the winter and was treated with
antibiotics for a couple of months. The last x-ray showed a 'retention cyst'
in the maxillary sinus, with infection gone, so I was taken off the
antibiotics. The x-ray was in the first part of March.
When I had the infection, I had a great deal of bloody mucous. That finally
cleared up, but now I find that when I blow my nose, I get some sticky
mucous with a string of red blood in it. I guess I panic due to the bleeding
I had during the infection.
Is it normal to have some blood in the discharge upon blowing your nose?
Also, is it safe to use a nasal gel, specifically 'Rhinaris'?
Thanks for any & all advice.

I had that nasal bleeding after my sinus infection too.
Yes, I did use my nasal spray, but only at night for a few days.

I think the spray washed some of the debri left from the infection.
