Hi, I have had Acute Sinusitus ever since I was about 12. Over time I lost a
part of my hearing and when the condition is bad I can Hardly breath. Once
when I was 19 my ears opened up for about a half hour and it felt as though
the world opened up to me. Is there anyway or anything I can use to help
with my hearing and sinus problem ? I hide it very well and IM always the
one put in the position of dealing with people on the job because of how
well I hide it but I feel shut out somehow as though IM living in a fog
because the hearing problem. I would Try any advise. Thanks,....MC

What do the doctors say?

Does it show up on a hearing test?

When I mention the hearing problem I just get an ah hu and nothing else.
Anyway to try to open clogged ears. I try the cracking method but to no
avail. I sure could use some help...Thanks, ....MC

You can ask them for a hearing test.

It will show up right away on the test and then they will have to deal with it.

If your insurance allows you to go an ENT that has an audiologist on staff,
they often routinely run such tests.

Other than that, if you have no other symptoms, I'm not sure.  Maybe someone
else has some ideas....

Do you have a buildup of wax in your ears?

My hubby gets a buildup of wax and he cannot hear either.

I would guess that you have fluid behind the ear drums as a possibility.
Pulsatile irrigation might help your condition, but it is easy to remove the
fluid from the middle ear, if that is your problem.

Thanks, I will look into that....MC
