I used a otc nose spray and it opened me right up. (I only use it 1-2
times a month) But this time a weird looking tan/flesh/meaty thing came
out. Yuk.. It was like a rubberband when I pulled it apart.. I had this
a year ago when I got mad and blew my nose very hard in and out about 50
times because something was flapping inside mt nose. It finally came out
and it looked like raw flesh (like a tiny piece of chicken breast
(double yuk)  Very hard to pull apart. The nurse said it might of been a
polyip that broke loose. Is that possible? The Doc said I had a few
polyips and turbinates are large. Anyone know about this? And can I get
the turbinates smaller without major surgery and just a local instead of
general? Thank you

I get these usually twice a month while irrigating. ENT says "oh, you mean
the rubber cement looking thing"? Uh, yeah. Those. Yuk is right. He calls
them crusts. Better to get them out than have them collecting germs. And
then you can breath again too! Trudy.

lol, yes rubber cement is a better discription. I thought I was the only
one. But the first on was more like flesh (raw meat) tissue ect.
Wondering what color a polyp is? Thank you for the input

Yes I get them too.  Sometimes they can be really hard inside almost
like cartilidge or plastic but ruber cement is the best description of
what normally comes out. I never new that other people get them also.
I've had 4 surgeries, 25 years of sinus misery and have pretty much
given up on the mainstream medical establishment to solve my problems.
This board is a great resource for treatments though with lots of good
input from a variety of sources.
