I was wondering if the sound I hear when I swallow is normal. When I
swallow I hear a kind of "crackling/poping type sound just as i swallow
in both ears. Could this be from my sinuses or is this normal?  Thanks
for any replies...Bill

I have had that feeling in the past- it always turned out that I had
fluid in my inner ear. Some times it turned into an infection.
The infection feels like a nut (very small) in your throat when you
swallow. It is not a sore throat.
If you have inner ear probems it can affect your balance, unsteady on
your feet.

Thanks Shirley, any ideas of how to treat? How do you get rid of the
fluid? So you don't think it is sinus related? Bill

My MD had me gargle with warm salt water 2x a day and you can take
tylenol too. Night and morning.

But if it gets so sore that you feel like you have a sore throat and it
hurts when swallowing. You will need an antibiotic as you have an inner
ear infection.
