Sores in lining of nose

On top of my chronic problem with inflammation, I now am plagued with
a rash of sores inside my nose and just on the tip near the outside of
my nose. These seem to be almost like very hard nodules - sort of like
tiny cysts and the lining of the nose is now opaque in color where
these lumps are and the lining of my nose is so dry it's like velcro.
if i squeeze my nostrils together with my fingertips they stick
together and remain that way when i remove my hand.

i'm wondering if these sores might be caused by my heavy use of
different nasal sprays - saline spray, sinus buster spray (capsicum),
etc.

besides being very uncomfortable and clogging up the airway even more,
they are starting to concern me.

anyone else suffer from these type of sores or have any input
regarding them?

thanks,
iJah

IJah.. ask about seeing a rheumatologist about autoimmune vasculitis
that can cause granuloma.  Or else ask your ENT about a test for
ANCA/anti-PR3/anti-MPO.

I take it back.. Without other symptoms, vasculitis is a real outside
chance. Probably not worth the cost of the blood tests.

OK.

I got sores in my nose a month a go too. In the morning they had a scab
on them and it was blocking my breathing. I had to pick them, then they
would start to bleed.
They hurt too.
This went on for a couple of weeks then they went away.

I had a sinus infection a few months back, I guess this was part of it.

Personally, I doubt any of the meds you mentioned are causing the bumps.

I have had similarly described bumps that are very tender inside the tip of
my nose from time to time. Mine are staph pimples and will usually resolve
in 3-5 days if treated with Bactroban ointment with a Q tip 3X day.    AW

thanks everyone for the replies.

Staph pimples - interesting - some of these seem very much like
pimples at first, but seem too large to be called pimples. I'll look
into this.

How bout if I call them small staph boils?

Staph boils can be very large but when I get them in my nose they are so
painful that most people would quickly seek treatment before they have a
chance to get too awful big. If you have any visible pus in the bumps (hard
to see up your nose) or extreme tenderness in the tip of your nose, then you
might suspect staph infection. Bactroban is an easy treatment and you'll
probably know within 3 days if it will be helpful as the tenderness will
begin to subside.   AW

Yep, staph boils - sounds good to me. I'm quite certain after reading
your description that is what I'm dealing with and my god are they
painful. Absolutely mind bending pain.
