East Coast U.S. versus West Coast Health Care

Hmm, this report says that  West Coast hospitals appear to be worse than those
in the rest of the U.S.

I wonder if that is true of otolaryngology care in particular?

According to the U.S. News annual survey, 4 of the top 20 of the best
ENT departments are on the West Coast.  That's not bad.

It's interesting how different the results are from the US News ranking. I
believe in that one the UCLA hospital is ranked the highest in California,
yet it is not even listed here. I don't believe St. Johns was on the US News
list.

I wonder what is different in their ranking methodologies?

The US News one is certainly more well-known than this by "Health Grades".

Yes, I think I trust the U.S News one more.

Statistics are very very tricky and Health Grades may not have properly allowed
for the higher number of problematic cases at  the largest hospitals, and other
factors.
