Hi -

I have been through many years (from 1998) of suffering before I
determined that I was having chronic sinusitis. I had a reasonably good
Dr. with my HMO, she was the one who properly diagnosed the problem
after years of frustration with general practitioners. Now I have
changed my insurance and I have been to another Allergy doctor, who I
picked up at random from my PPO list. After reading this group and
recommended web sites I feel that he knows very little about chronic
sinusitis.

I am at my wits end, I get fever like symptoms every few months.
Anti-biotics give me relief for maximum 3 months. Can somebody please
recommend me a doctor who knows chronic sinusitis well.
Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi,

I just moved to San Francisco from Austin, Texas about three months ago and
have been completely miserable ever since.

My sinuses are either more clogged than 101 at rush hour or dripping like a
leaky faucet in my kitchen.

I had never consulted a doctor in my four years in Austin and was compelled
to go to one in my second week in the city. I did a quick doctor search
through my insurance provider (Blue Cross PPO) and came across a place
called Metropolitan Medical Group.

They were really good - they gave me an appointment the same day and were
thoroughly confidence inspiring. I highly recommend them.

Thanks,
Schiz
