i seem to have picked up yet another possible 'symptom', side effect
related to my sinus disorders. long been suffering from big time
inflammation - nasal passages almost or completely swollen shut - and
dryness - but no 'infection' or typical congestion/drainage.
now, i have the strangest, most unpleasant sensation that runs across
my entire forehead mainly right in a straight horizontal line in the
middle of my forehead exactly midway between the eyebrows and the
hairline. it huts when you touch the skin there, but the sensation
feels like it's coming from 'under the skin' almost like it's in the
bone of my skull itself.
also, there is pain/discomfort - but only when pressed on rather
firmly - in the bone at the tip of my nose.
so, now i've got another thing to worry and obsess about ;-)
wondering if any sinus sufferer's here have had similar phenomena?
the pain in my forehad seems so far up and away from the sinuses that
it's hard to think it could be related, but maybe it's just pain
radiating from the sinus area?

There are separate sinuses in the forehead called the frontal sinuses.
Eveidently your sinusitis has progressed to them.....

thanks Don. I found a handy/dandy chart of all the sinuses and now see
exactly what you are referring to and that *is* the area where i'm now
having unpleasant sensations - so it is no doubt sinus related.

I get that! Mine goes from high forhead right to nearly top of head. When
my sinuses are very bad and the forehead pain kicks i actually feel sick if
i do touch my forhead. I have found that a warm cloth over the nose and
forhead helps. And warmth applied to the back of the neck helps too.... it
perhaps to do with muscles in head and neck as well as the sinuses.... just
a guess, but, the warm cloth thing works for me quicker than any medications
ever have.

thanks april,
yes, a warm/hot compress sounds like it would be very soothing. i'll
give that a go.

Yah - same here, I get it not only there but at the top, back of the head
too - I don't know how it gets there, or why it gets there - but it does.
I've had this for years, and horrible and strange as it is - it's just
become 'normal'.
Regarding the neck thing - if I go to the gym (once in a blue moon these
days as I get few 'good' days) - I've noticed if I do anything strenuous
around the neck region, pull ups, curls when I'm laying on a bench - I
sometimes 'rick' my neck, and it sets off my sinus / head pain - anyone know
what the deal there is? It's not a one off - it's happened many times.
