Is there a solution that I can mix with the hot water that I breathe in,
that will further aid my sinuses? I don't think an irrigator is the best
thing for me as I get very little 'running' or discharge, only stuffiness,
blocking and severe pain. The steaming helps, and if there was something I
could add to somehow further protect, I'd be interested to try. :)

There are pads that fit on some steamers, that add vapor (similar to
vaporizer medication, eucalyptus, etc) to the steam. Not sure if that really
helps or not, but they are available. Look in the drug store.

Try a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil.

Thanks Steven ... picked some up today, I will give it a go. It was from a
health food store - they also gave me a 'natural' nasal spray called here
(UK) 'Rhinodoron' ... contains Sodium Chloride / Potassium Chloride / Aloe
Vera Gel / Water For Injections.
You know when you get to the stage that if someone said 'I hear snorting
banana works wonders' ... and for a split second you think of giving it a
try? I'm there
And no - no-one said that. ;)
In fact ... the woman at the health food store said 'Oh .. you must avoid
wheat, sugar, banana, chocolate, orange juice'. Oh - and that acupuncture
works wonders (I just saw the last post).

Try a couple of drops of chamomile or peppermint essential oils (careful
with peppermint, it seems to be potent enough to blow your head off!).
I've also used fresh mint from the garden.

Hello,
Salt? Garlic?
I would try everything i could get my hands on,
and wait and see which/what worked . . . after
asking questions on Google . . . How 'bout a
little Listerene. You really do, though,
have to clean up your environment in
your house and bedroom. You can use
a very gentle, fine mist of a spray
with no force (container held
away from the nares). That
is the best and use salt
solution. Breath in
as if you were at
the beach when
you spray
the very fine surf-like mist.
Do it every time you pass
your bathroom sink.
