Hi Doctor--
I had posted before on my almost total inability to smell and taste.

But, something happened, which (I hope) may be a clue.

I came down with a bad Flu, aches, fever, very runny nose, ran like a
faucet, etc.

During the time my nose was running so much, it once cleared out for
about 10 minutes, and I could actually smell!

I went in my bathroom and actually could smell my scented powder (like
Barbershops used to use) and I didn't know there was ever even an aroma like
that in the washroom! Now I know there is, my wife says it has been that way
for a year now.

My nose has stopped running, so I have no sense of smell or taste at all
again, as usual. Lots of the usual post nasal drip, as always

Maybe something that really clears out my sinuses would help?

Wow, but for 10 minutes I could actually smell!!

I sure would like your comments on this---

   Thanks allot---
Ron

Most colds and flu cause the nose to swell. Yours may be the opposite somehow.
Worth having an ENT doctor look that area over.

Now, again, yesterday,  Nov 18, my nose started running again, and --just
for about a minute---I could smell some again!

At least this gives me some hope!

It is exceedingly hard, not to be able to taste and smell. It takes so very,
very much out of enjoyment on an --everyday---- basis.

Best---
Ron
