Decongestants and Pain.....Infection?!?!

Had acute prostatitis last year that was undermedicated by my general
practitioner (10 days of Doxy).  Been on and off a few antibiotics
(Doxy again, Levaquin and Cipro).  Symptoms NOW are very minor, only
slight pain in the perineum.

I notice that when i take decongestants occasionally, my prostate area
begins to hurt and urine flow is reduced.  I realize that
decongestants like Contac irritate the prostate muscle, but does
taking them necessarily denote infection?  What are peoples thoughts
on the correlation between possible bacteria, otc drugs and the
prostate.  Could one's prostate be irritated without actually having
an infection in the prostate? (ie. non-bacterial)

P.S.  I never get any UTIs (no burning while peeing or constant urge)

Thoughts?

Um.  The vast majority of men with CPPS have no infection in the prostate.
