Hi,

I have been told that my prostate is big and that could be the reason for
high PSA OF 7.2.  What do you think please?

How could prostate be reduced in size?

Cut out all coffee, tea, soda, alcohol.

In other words, drink only water.

Lose 30 pounds.

Start exercising regularly.

Start having sex (or masturbation) twice a week.

That's all. You'll see dramatic improvement in one month.

ricland,
Men that have a PSA of 7.2 should be under the care of a
urol. since there is more than one reason for a PSA score
of 7.2. Also, if someone is already underweight (thin)
--losing 30 pounds would be dangerous. Some of the other advice
makes lots of sense for many people. However, they should discuss
treatment options with the urol.

Assuming the guy has already discussed this with a urol, it may be his
last chance to seek an alternative method before beginning a life-long
regime of drugs.

ric,
Good point. I am a strong believer in alternative care. I learned the hard
way that medications can do as much harm as good. I will NEVER forget the
side effects of statins and various types of blood pressure medications. I
still have edema and do believe that it was caused by the statins. My
creatinine level went from 1.1 MG/DL (normal) to 1.7 MG/DL (above normal)
while I was taking statins. Statins may have caused me to develop Renal
Tubular Necrosis. Needless to say, I wish that I had never taken statins
or any other types of medications. I have read posts indicating that some
people have to wear diapers as a result of surgery to remove their
prostate glands--I hope that never happens to any of us.
