My husband (age: 27) has problem passing urine since last 2 years.
Initially he would pass urine in bits taking almost 10min then. Now he
is passing urine in very small quantities. Dr. has diagnosed after
tests that he has possible detruso sphincter dyssynergia. Alpha blocker
trial did not do any good to him. We also got MRI of spinal cord done
but with no finding. Please advise as urge to pass urine all the time
does not let him sleep well. He has to get up almost every hour to pass
as much urine he can. We certainly do not want any surgery as Dr.
suggested that surgery would have many adverse affect in old age.

TUIP is  minimally invasive. Not as invasive as TURP. I had great
results from it. No retrograde, no adverse side effects, just relief.
I was told this procedure could be repeated if necessary and that it
would not prevent other procedure from being performed in my later
life. True I am now 51. I was 49 when it was performed. Something to
think about.
