I would appreciate some advice with my situation. I first noticed blood on
my semen back in 2001. It was on and off but nothing on a regular basis.
Then I developed a pain between my navel and pubic area. It comes and goes.
I went to a urologist in 2001 and he did and exam and told me not to worry
about the blood in the semen. He put me on an antibiotic which seemed to
take care of the pain. Now it is 5 years later and I have bloody semen
pretty much all the time now when I ejaculate. I also have the pain in my
pubic area. At my annual physical I informed my internist. He was not too
alarmed about it and put me on an antibiotic for 10 days. It seemed to help
in the short term but the pain and bloody semen persists. I am 49 years of
age. If I never thought I would have sex again I would not be bothered about
it, but having bloody semen during sex with a partner does not leave a good
impression. Any suggestions???? Any replies I would appreciate and you can
send them directly to my email address: tceb@mchsi.com
Thanks!
Tim

This is not normal. Time to find another urologist. If he tells you it
is normal ask him to explain why. Ask him to explain what is causing
it. Ask around and try to find "the best" urologist in your area.

This is not vastly different to what I have experienced. Daily
blood is not good. Could be a stone passing but seems too long
lasting.
There are usually other symptoms (Google for them) which you do
not mention. They may help identify what this is.
