Primary Bladder Neck Obstruction

I have had frequency/urgency for years now, and had been diagnosed
prvsiously as having prostatitis, but my last uro, who seems to be
pretty good, says that he is thinking that this could be Primary
Bladder Neck Obstruction.  He gave me a brief description but was
wondering if anyone had any more info about this.  Based on what he
said it sounds like this could be the problem.  He obviously is going
to be doing further tests to prove his claim.

Thanks,

Robert

I don't know if this info is of use, but on the topic of the bladder neck, I
read that during ejaculation semen is supposed to be trapped between the
internal sphincter (sometimes referred to as "bladder neck") and the
external sphincter. Holding ejaculation for a prolonged period actually
increases the pressure on the internal sphincter and loosens it, (similar to
alpha-blockers). Do any of you hold off ejaculation? Maybe a loose internal
sphincter leaks urine into the bladder neck. It is then trapped by the
external sphincter which causes voiding symptoms, and irritation to the
prostate? One guy posted recently that abstaining from sexual activity for a
month and a diet change, ( less sugars, carbs. ), improved his symptoms.
Could less activity and stress have led to the normal function of his
internal sphincter, bladder neck, and reduction in symptoms?
