I would like some advise, this january, I woke up one morning and was having
a terrible time peeing, went in to see my GP, had a blood test done,, PSA
came back at 10.7,, sent me to a Uro, he put me on Cipro for 20 days and
Cardura, had another PSA done at the end of cipro,, psa was then 4.1, and
had a free PSA done at the same time, it was 29.
just got back another PSA today, its now back up to 7.5? I had asked my uro
when i first went to see him about staying on cipro for a longer periond of
time and if there were other tests that hecould do, to find out what is
going on, he said no,, on the first appointment with him and the last one,,
he was talking to me about surgery,, Micro wave, to releive thesyptoms
Iwould like to explore other options before this,
I live in a small town in southwest arizona,, and would like other options,
as i dont feel he is really getting to the problem with me, has any one had
any exp, with the Prostatits Center, in Tucson, az, a Doc, John Polacheck

Idiot. If you can't afford the fee, just admit it. Obviously your
so-called career as a "web designer" pays pretty badly.

If CP is what it appears to be, Dr. John may be on the right track
but didn't have all the pieces to this puzzling problem the last time
I spoke to him. There are reported cases where massage works but the
consensus is that in most cases the current practice is not
effective. It is my belief an infection anywhere in the reproductive
can cause the symptoms of CP. I would advise anyone with symptoms of
CP that didn't respond to antibiotics to go to a fertility clinic for
seamen analysis.

The Marines have nothing to do with this!

Dr Polacheck has helped some but some also have not had a good experience.
But that's something that can be said about any urologist. They simply do
not have a good handle on the problems of the prostate. And it isn't simply
a single problem but varied and complex. I would certainly talk to more than
one urologist. Surgery should be a last resort but too many urologist want
to go there too fast. You also should educate yourself about the problems.
Try www.prostatitis.org . It doesn't cost anything to look and learn.
Shongololo will try to steer you to his forum where he can make a buck and I
wouldn't say that you will get bad advice there but they are very
opinionated and don't want you to look anywhere else. The above site will
not tell you what to do or direct you to any specific clinic or procedure.
You will have to decide what course you want to follow.
Best of luck to you.

Polacheck is NOT a urologist, idiot. He's a retired, washed-up ship's
doctor, ex-military, with a penchant for mens' bums.

Worst site on the net, run by people who do not have Prostatitis, and
who run lots of other "foundations" as well. Keep away.

Polacheck is a Internal Med Dr. But the statement that Urologist don't know
how to handle these problems still stands.
Speaking of penchants, you have one for using insults and unintelligent
dialog to reply to those with whom you disagree. Perhaps if you really tried
to be helpful and kept the dialog on a higher plane, you might be more
successful in attracting folks to your web site.
