Hi,

I just had a suprapubic catheter inserted 3 days ago. Since then I have
had the feeling in my penis like there is urine in there, or something
stuck in there and constantly stings and aches. I have tried going to
the bathroom (normal way) but nothing comes out, except for some white
stuff that looks like mucus.

I have chronic bacteria prostatitis (kleb) and after two years of
trying antibiotics, I was just told the bacteria is resistant to
everything tried. I am new to the whole CPPS thing and I live in Korea
so forgive me if I ask stupid questions.Understanding the doctor is
hard enough in English, but broken English and Korean make for
interesting conversations.

Recently my bag is starting to resemble red kool-aid. Is this to be
expected? It is redder than it was yesterday. There are also small
clumps of blood, kind of stringy. Is this normal?

I am not exactly sure of when to be concerned, when to say "I need to
watch that" and when to say "oh well, that's life"

Can anyone help me?

Keith

Sounds like you definitely have an infection. Maybe you ought to look for a
different Doctor. I have had similar problems but have always been able to
quell the infection with antibiotics. It then goes dormant for months at a
time before rearing its ugly head again. That white stuff that looks like
mucus is probably white blood cells.

Do a little research and see a different doctor. Do not ignore your
symptoms!
