Hi,

I recently was diagnosed with CPPS and antiobiotic resistant strain of
kleb pneumonia prostatitis. The pain at times is incredible. I just had
MRI and this week I will find out if they are going to do a bladder
catheter, do more invasive cutting or who knows.

I am confused and I feel alone in this stupid fight. I have had the
infection for two years and I am getting tired of it all.

I don't know what to say or ask, I feel like I am in totally new water
here.

Any advice you can give would be welcome

Don't lightly go in for surgery. Investigate all. For example, a lot of
people get a lot of benefit from antibiotics for a time and a lot of people
get a lot of benefit for decades from Saw Palmetto.

My advice would be to try everything else before going under the knife.

Right - don't go in for a cut.
There are hundreds of medications out there and some could be really good.

Antibiotics don't always work.
When I first had the problem, I was given oral Sawpalmetto in alcohol and
it worked miracles. You take every 15 minutes 15 drops on a spoon for the
first 2 hours, then every 6 hours for the next 14 days.
This brought down the swelling and it really did wonders.
Problems come from re-infection. If you notice that anytime you
have unprotected sex with a certain individual gives you again problems,
then there might be a risk from this person.

Don't let them cut you !

I have had the infection just come back. Never cheated on my wife and have
no intentions of doing so and the age I am, sex isn't that often. Had the
infection feel like it completely went then come back again a month later,
no sex in that time frame.  IMHO, it comes, it goes and comes again. I don't
feel that personally it will ever completely go for me though like you, SP
does wonders for me though I take it in capsule form. Occasionally - about
once a year - it gets so bad I have to hit the cipro for a month and then it
is controllable via SP for another year.

I agree with Concise and Coilman that you should avoid surgery. If you went
back and searched through the archives, you would find that surgery is not
the answer for prostatitis. Maybe OK for prostate enlargement (BPH) but not
CP or CPPS. Like Coilman, I have learned to live with mine after 30 years.
It flares up every now and then and I need antibiotics to quell the
infection. Prostate drainage may also help. Doesn't work for everyone but it
does for me.

And remember, Urologist are surgeons that like to find surgical solutions
for problems.

It is quiet common for females to carry a bug that doesn't irritate them,
when u have intercourse it fires back to u.
This could be all kinds of organisms. Penetration doggy style is also
dangerous. The Penis rubs at the female's anus thereby introducing her
to dangerous bacteria, that later get back to you.

Once the bugs are well placed in your prostate, then they are really hard
to get rid of.
Antibiotics don't always work, sometimes you swallow them for weeks, only
to destroy your organism.
