[I already posted this a few months ago but nobody replied. I'm trying
again...]
I'm 27 and for years I have had something that looks like CP or CPPS
(not officially diagnosed...) but it has one charachteristic which I
have not read anywhere else: if I sleep on one side or supine (face
upwards) I need to urinate 0-1 times during the night (0 only happens
20% of nights, though) while if I sleep face downwards I have to urinate
1-2 times (1 only happens 30% of the nights).
Unfortunately it's not easy to get asleep supine or on the side for me,
so I'm tempted to stay face downwards.
In case of face downwards the situation is better if I am able to bend 1
knee and rotate slightly so that the pelvic area does not touch the matress.
Anybody has noticed such a thing with their CP? I mean: seriousness of
symptoms varying depending on how you are turned?
Also I'm looking at the image at
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/1113.htm
and the prostate is rather on the back of the bladder so it seems
strange to me that my symptoms are better when I am supine.
Do you think I might have chronic bladder infection instead? My urine
appears normal e.g. does not smell strange...

i dont think you have prostatitis or a bladder infection, you would be
complaining of pain. I think you have just trained your bladder in a
certain way. If you are really woried go see a doctor, but i think your
fine.
im not a doctor.
